The smiles we put forward: I try to rise above the daily torment of my Injuries from military service, I was a NON-COMBAT Navy sailor who had the Honor of serving on board a Nuclear Submarine Repair ship the “USS Dixon AS-37” People wonder what’s wrong with me and the internal chronic health as we all know can be so complex, I smile and have learned how to adapt into this fast pace 21st Century work environment. I kept showing up to Chamber meeting and plugging away at projects trying not to talk about the health. I started attending Chamber events way back in 2007 to broaden my social/business ring. While doing this I was met with many people intrigued with my story, I still think of myself as just a normal dude but am reminded of my daily challenges of health. I couldn’t last six days without the Department of Veterans Affairs! Thank You.
